Swhack! was founded in July 2001 by Aaron Swartz and Sean B. Palmer as a place to relax, share ideas, and culture things to the max. The current participants are a motley mix of preëminent researchers, writers, sysadmins, and journalists. We talk about everything from typography to linguistics, and forteana to science.
Our IRC channel is the main focus of attention. We're currently packed to the brim and filled to the rafters, so newcomers are grudgingly welcome only to the extent that they make themselves aƿare of the tenets of the society, per the Swhack Guide. Contact Sean with any queries.
